I have actively worked as a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist since 2007. Former 2006 graduate of the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences, New York, NY. I attained an associate degree in occupational studies. I am Board Certified for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and a member of The American Massage Therapy Association. I also hold a Prenatal & Medical Massage Therapy certification as well as a Connecticut State license for Massage Therapy. My specialty is Medical Massage Therapy.
I have extensive experience in the treatment of soft tissue injuries and musculoskeletal pain. Throughout the years, I have treated thousands of clients often with positive therapy outcomes in pain reduction, improved range of motion and muscle flexibility. Some examples are musculoskeletal disorders many orthopedic, neurological conditions, fibromyalgia, anxiety, forward head posture, bellβs palsy, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic/acute pain, multiple sclerosis, stress, nerve impingement, headaches/migraines, plantar fasciitis, poor posture, tendonitis, scoliosis, arthritis, muscle imbalances, scar tissue reduction, surgical pain as well as amputees. My recent collaborations were at a physician/surgeon owned and operated medical practice. I worked closely with the nurse practitioners, chiropractor, acupuncturists, physicians and other group members treating patients. Prior, I was the subject matter expert for the Integrative Health & Wellbeing at Weill Cornell Medicine. I was part of the team of physicianβs and health care providers who treated the community, patientβs and employees. Earlier years, I worked alongside a well-established chiropractor and was also separately part of a health network providing medical massage treatments.
I am dedicated to improving an individualβs quality of life. With that, I leave an impression on society and move forward to carry on. I use many manual methods and techniques with different levels of pressure to achieve the best possible result for the client. I enjoy staying up to date with continuing education and try to remain informed of the latest developments within the profession. It is self-gratifying to make a positive difference in peopleβs lives. At Norma Medical Massage the focus is on customer experience, health and wellness.
